FAQs

What is your approach to physical therapy?

I believe in an integrative, whole-body approach to physical therapy. I recognize that the body is deeply connected, not just biomechanically from head-to-toe, but also neurocognitively, where thoughts, emotions, and stress can play an important role in pain, performance, and overall function. My goal is to address the root cause of your issues and empower you to move with greater confidence and ease.

What kinds of conditions do you treat?

I see patients across the full spectrum of needs, from those recovering from a recent injury or surgery, to individuals managing chronic pain or movement limitations, to athletes looking to optimize performance.

Your site mentions pelvic floor rehab several times, do you see other patients too?

Absolutely! In fact, most of the patients I see come to me for other concerns. While I truly enjoy working with patient with pelvic issues, I see people dealing with any number of issues from acute injuries or surgery, managing chronic pain, addressing orthopedic issues, pursuing sports and performance goals, or simply wanting to move with more ease. My practice is built around one-on-one, individualized care for anyone looking to feel and function better.

What type of pelvic floor issues do you treat?

I work with people of all genders on a wide range of pelvic health concerns. These include postpartum recovery, pelvic pain, incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, constipation, and pain with exercise or daily activities. I also support men following prostate cancer treatment, helping with issues such as urinary leakage, pelvic pain, and regaining pelvic floor strength. My approach combines gentle, skilled manual therapy with movement and breath retraining, always tailored to your comfort and goals.

Where are you located?

I currently see patients in two convenient locations in San Rafael. Reach out and we can figure out which location makes the most sense for you.

I also do in-home visits on a very limited basis.

When are you available?

I have the most availability on Fridays at this time but lets connect and see what works for you.

How long is each session?

Unlike most physical therapy clinics where sessions are 45-50 minutes, my sessions are 60 minutes, giving us the time to address your concerns thoroughly and create a personalized treatment plan.

What is the cost per session?

Visits in my clinic locations are $200 per hour. In-home visits are $300 per hour.

Do you accept insurance?

I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. I can provide you with a ‘superbill’ (or detailed receipt) that you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement, depending on your plan. My patients also routinely tell me they have no issues getting their FSA or HSA to reimburse them for their visits with me.
